ETU-LINK 10G BIDI SFP+ optical module is an optical module that adopts single-fiber bidirectional (BiDi) technology. Its packaging form is SFP+, with a transmission rate of 10G. It adopts an LC simplex interface and can achieve a maximum transmission distance of 100km when used with single-mode optical fibers.
BiDi technology utilizes the principle of wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) to achieve bidirectional transmission of optical signals on a single fiber by using different central wavelengths for transmission and reception in two directions. Therefore, compared with traditional optical modules, the 10G BIDI SFP+ optical module only requires one port to simultaneously complete the transmission and reception of optical signals, which greatly reduces the cost of optical fiber cabling infrastructure and the number of ports on the fiber patch panel as well as the tray space occupied by fiber management.
